Bryce Canyon’s beauty is unique and beyond beautiful. With red rocks, pink cliffs and insane hoodoos (irregular, tall formations of rock) in every direction, you’ll find yourself in a place like no other. There are many fun experiences awaiting for you, book a stay at Bryce Valley Lodging to get your adventure started.
Here are a few our our favorite things to do with children when visiting Bryce Canyon National Park;
Southern Utah Ballooning
Get a bird’s eye view of the park as you soar over Bryce Canyon in a brightly colored hot air balloon. With crisp, clear mountain air you can see for hundreds of miles in every direction. The ride is smooth and stable, which makes hot air ballooning feel more like standing on the top of a mountain rather than flying through the air.
Canyon Trail Rides
An alternative to hiking, horseback riding is an amazing way to get an up-close look at Bryce Canyon’s beauty. Take a half-day strolling through the red canyon on a guided horseback tour.
Navajo/Queens Garden Loop
A fun, popular day hike for visitors with children is just about 3 miles in length and a beautiful moderate hiking loop to do at sunset. This trail is one of the most famous for the gorgeous scenery it packs in the short 1.5 mile. It consists of tall hoodoos, ‘Thor’s Hammer’ and a small arch.
The rim trail is exactly what it sounds like. The trail runs along the rim of the canyon, allowing you and your family to see the landscape with a variety of different angles. It is 5.5 miles one way, from Fairyland to Bryce Point. Parts of this trail are paved and wheelchair accessible.
Grand Staircase ATV Tours
From tours ranging from a few hours to a few days, there isn’t a better way to get a feel of the canyon and see the wonders it has to offer. It is beauty unlike any other. You can see the sunrise or see the sunset while riding along hoodoos, caves, and crazy rock formations.
Drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
